Meet the Team: Minnie Prasanthong, Graphic Designer
Let’s give a warm welcome to Minnie Prasanthong, who is the visionary force behind HookedOnMedia’s graphic design department. After studying Film at Plymouth University, Minnie’s passion for digital design led her to collaborate on an array of exciting projects, from designing striking graphics to making engaging and professional videos. Since then, she has really honed her skills and now channels her creativity into designing eye-catching social ads for our clients.
Minnie’s portfolio is impressive, featuring her work on a popular YouTube web series that has garnered a huge 55,000 subscribers and gained a loyal following of 11,000 Twitter fans. During her time as a Lead Graphic Designer and Videographer, Minnie also spearheaded numerous creative campaigns and has collaborated with fellow creatives to enhance their social media presence.
“I’ve always been enthusiastic about graphic design, motion graphics and video since I was young. So much so that I really pushed myself to improve my skills throughout my time in education. I like to think of myself as a passionate person with a creative eye who will work hard to get the job done.” — Minnie
Last week, we caught up with Minnie to see how she’s settled into her new role as Graphic Designer. Let’s see what she had to share with us:
1) Best thing about HOM?
Working with extremely talented and hard-working people. On top of that, everyone is so kind, and they always treat me with respect.
2) Distracted by?
The neighbourhood cat who sits at my window. I’ve named him Pickle.
3) Excited by?
Dogs! Anytime, anywhere, if I see a dog, I can’t contain my excitement. They bring me so much joy.
4) Best thing about your job?
For me, it’s working from home. It’s been amazing for my mental health because I feel comfortable in my own space. Plus, being able to communicate and collaborate with others without leaving my home is a bonus. And let’s not forget the freedom to let my creativity flow while working on projects for different clients (again, all from the comfort of my home). Can’t you tell I love working from home?
5) Favourite work snack?
Dried fruit. Can’t get enough of it.
6) I predict that…???
As graphic design trends evolve, I predict we’ll start incorporating more old-school designs into the mix. It’s all about creating graphics that evoke a sense of nostalgia while still feeling fresh and modern. Just take a quick scroll through Instagram, and you’ll likely come across companies proudly showcasing retro-inspired designs infused with a contemporary twist.
