There are various algorithms and ranking signals which all effect your ranking positions, trust and authority.
From the start of your campaign, we will provide keyword research. Depending on your focus we can provide search volumes and your current position for local or national search volumes (or both). We will recommend the phrases to target based on your current rankings and the budgets you have available, an average campaign will include 15 to 20 keyphrases.
We can never guarantee rankings, but for campaigns that run for 6 to 12 months or more, we provide predicted rankings. 90% of the time we hit these targets, providing all our recommendations are followed during the campaign.
A key component in gaining high rankings with the search engines is to ensure your website is fully optimised and adheres to Google’s guidelines.
Google’s algorithm includes many checks, it’s important that we conduct a technical SEO audit, that will cover many aspects, including:
We use a combination of the top paid SEO audit tools in the industry. The SEO tools crawl your website to identify the common errors, which are easy to pick-up, but if reviewed manually would take days, and on large websites weeks.
Our skills and experience then come into their own, as we take the time to then manually review the pages to make recommendation which tools are not able to pick-up on.
From the audit we will compile a comprehensive report, detailing our findings and how to fix. Including <title> and Metadata recommendations per page.
We can also provide more specific SEO recommendations, including video optimisation and server optimisation services.
Without content on your website, the site would not rank within organic search. Google’s main task is to serve new, fresh content to its readers. Therefore the more content you can provide to Google (and other search engines) on a regular basis, the more they will reward you with increased rankings.
Blog content is a great way to increase rankings for ‘long-tail phrases’. These are phrases that are less popular in search volume, but can have a high conversion rate. Voice search on mobile has increased these opportunities, for examples searches such as “can somebody recommend a….” and “where can I find a…” type searches.
Good unique content can also help increase your overall trust and page authority, as good content will create natural backlinks.
Alistair’s insights
For example, if the BBC link to a website, Google will deem the website extremely important as it has a link from an extremely trusted and recognised website.
A link coming in from a poor quality directory, or spammed website, can often lower you page authority score. So the key with backlinks is quality, not quantity!
Organic page authority techniques
We review the following elements in order to see how we can make improvement to your SEO campaigns…
Within Google Analytics
We also review your website within Google Search Console, run heat mapping and provide monthly management reports detailing your campaign progress.
Reviews & recommendations:
Technical recommendations
We run audits and report on SEO recommendations that need to be implemented. It’s crucial that Google can crawl your website with ease but also not to impact on the existing design.
Page speeds
Having a fast loading website encourages users to stay onsite, but speeds are also part of Google’s algorithm. Having a faster website will contribute to outperforming your competitors.
Server configuration
Your server the website is hosted on also contributes to rankings. We will review, and if necessary, make recommendations based on the coding of your website. A reliable server is essential.
Video optimisation
Videos help engage with the user and greatly improve conversion rates. We can optimise video metadata and recommend suitable video hosting platforms based on needs and budgets.
Content Optimisation
Unique content is critical, and it needs to read naturally to the user. Our content writers can create pages based on our initial keyword research, ensuring the phrases you target are popular ones!
Search Console & Analytics
We connect your website to Google’s search console and analytics. This provides us with additional benefits to improve your websites rankings and performance. Analytics is pulled into your monthly reports.

My Google Business and other Business Pages across other search engines use a different algorithm to the ones used for organic rankings.
Google My Business page is extremely important for users who are searching via voice search, and for users who are after reading reviews before they make a purchasing or signup decision.
Voice search devices like Google Home, Alexa and Siri are all connected to directories in order to return business data when you speak to them. Google’s Home assistant for example, if you start a voice search command to say, “is there chiropractor near me?” Google is using its database to query your voice search through Google Maps, which will take data from a Google My Business listing.
This process is similar across other platforms, with Alexa utilizing Bing and Siri using Apple Maps. So managing your business presence across voice systems is important.
Andrew’s insights
A local citation (also known as a business listing or online directory listing) is any place online that displays your business’ name, address, and phone number. Google goes to sites like Yelp and Yellow Pages to validate the data they have for your business. If Google finds data that doesn’t match or is missing altogether this can really hurt your ability to appear within the map results.
On a monthly basis we’ll run a full audit of the citations for your business, making sure that we build out and clean up citations on the most powerful directories to ensure your business data is listed and 100% correct. This ensures optimal visibility in Google for your business.
Did you know…
80% of users lose trust in a local business if they see incorrect or inconsistent contact details or business names.
93% of users say they are frustrated by incorrect information within online directories.
40% of users would give up looking for a local business that they couldn’t find because the address was wrong online.
Tailor made strategies
We would provide a strategy based on your business goals, so it may include all services a combination, or just one.
Our strategies are tailored, which means budgets also differ.
So if you are a small start-up or a large corporate, don’t presume you cannot afford to be top of results we are here to help and will recommend relevant phrases that are achievable to rank within your marketing constraints.
Videos help engage with the user and greatly improve conversion rates. We can optimise video metadata and recommend suitable video hosting platforms based on needs and budgets.
A dedicated business development manager & our technical director will research your website, provide a FREE audit, and research keyphrases and competitors to come up with a proposal in order to outrank your competition and rise to the top of the search engines.
ONE
The short answer is everyone can benefit from SEO, except for if you run a small personal blog that you don’t want anyone reading. Consider that 50% of your first-time visitors, especially if you have a business website, will come from search engines, the most prominent one being Google. However, in order to get found, you’ll want the website to be on the very first page of search results when people are actively searching for products and services like the ones you’re offering. That’s where SEO comes in. SEO brings in the traffic you need to make money, whether that’s by selling products or your service. To gain any form of significant traffic you need to be rankings in the topd fold one page one of Google (basically the top 5 search results).
TWO
Interestingly, this is a very common question especially asked by people who think it’s something you can learn like programming. The fact is that SEO is ever-changing. However, the skill, if you can call it that is to raise a website’s authority in the eyes of search engines like Google. Reputation and authority are two of the most important things needed to rank and relevancy, which brings in the right type of traffic. We class SEO as a mix of both art & science.
THREE
It is hard to say unless we’ve taken a look at your website. However, generally, it is by associating your website to other authoritative websites in your niche. Furthermore, it also requires generating relevant content, which helps tell Google and other search engines that your website is an authoritative source. In most cases, it is a mix of quality and quantity.
FOUR
Backlinks are extremely important, but it is just one of the many steps we need to take to rank a site. However, the quality, type and location of the backlinks matter a great deal. If the link isn’t well placed and relevant to your website, it will do nothing in terms of boosting your rankings. Plus, there are many on-page factors to consider and optimise before considering backlink building. See Alistair’s Insights above for more on this.
FIVE
No, it isn’t the same as paying for ads. If you pay for ads, those ads will run only for as long as you continue to pay. You can run ads on Facebook or the Daily Mail website, and it will get you a great deal of traffic for as long as you advertise. On the other hand, SEO, once you start ranking, the traffic is free. You don’t pay for all the traffic coming in only continue to optimise.
SIX
Google wants to serve the best, most relevant results to its audience. That’s why you need to prove that your content and website are relevant to the searcher’s intent. If you can do that, Google will show your website more frequently and higher up SERPs.
SEVEN
The best way to test this is to use this “site:[mydomain.com]” and check if the site pops up. If your website does not pop up, it means that the site has not been indexed or has been deindexed if it was previously indexed. Either way, we’d need to take a closer look at your website to determine what’s wrong. Click here to see our website site presence in Google.
EIGHT
Yes, you can do SEO yourself. However, as a business owner, you need to think if you have the time to carry out all the right SEO steps. Also, do you have the knowledge required to pull it off? Many who are knowledgeable about SEO hire us to optimise their business website because it is a highly time-consuming and professional pursuit.
NINE
The ROI varies from one industry to the next. However, generally speaking, it is much higher than most forms of paid advertising.
TEN
We can help if your website has been penalised, but it depends on many factors. Our experts would have to examine your website and run a few tests to determine what happened.
